Story Time - 4 to 6 years of age   

Story Time is offered to children ages 4 to 6; which includes those who are attending kindergarten.  A weekly theme is selected with accompanying stories, songs, games, interactive activities and occasional crafts.  This 45 minute program allows the child to be independent from the parent in a group setting.  It's our goal to establish the library habit with the family, reinforce the enjoyment of reading and enhance the child's preparation towards entering kindergarten. 

All of our story time programs focus on the six pre-reading skills of early literacy: print motivation, sound awareness, vocabulary, alphabet knowledge, print awareness, and narrative skills.

Story Time for Children 3 to 6 years of age is also offered for 6 weeks as part of the Summer Reading Program.
